No Casualties at Jinlingshihua Nanjing Refinery Explosion in Eastern China
The powerful blast that ripped through the Jinlingshihua Nanjing Refinery is now under control according to the local fire department. The local media have reported no casualties so far, and said the blast may have been caused by production equipment catching fire on Sunday afternoon. The explosion occurred at 13:51 local time, and created huge plumes of smoke that were visible for miles. Nanjing’s environmental ministry have stated that no hazardous gases have been expelled into the atmosphere.
