On Friday September 24 Atmos International supported Macmillan Cancer Support by taking part in the world’s biggest coffee morning. This fundraising event is Macmillan’s largest in support of those living with cancer, with people across the UK taking part in their own coffee mornings filled with homemade goods and charitable donations.
Bake it or fake
Atmos employees swapped their keyboards for kitchen utensils to bring in their baked goods. The cakes and bakes ranged from homemade scones to delicious banana bread - putting those lockdown skills to the test.
For those who aren’t as skilled in the kitchen as others, there was the option to bring in any shop bought bakes so that everyone had a chance to get involved.
The great Atmos bake off
To help create a buzz Atmos created a bake-off style competition, bringing our employee’s competitive spirits alive. The bakes were then judged by our cake enthusiast judges who looked at the presentation, flavour, texture and creativity of all the bakes.
Once the bakes had been judged and scored it was time to announce the winner. Coming in first place was Rahul Prasher with his chai-spiced loaf cake.
Donating to a great cause
The money raised will help Macmillan give physical, financial and emotional support to those suffering with cancer along with their friends and family. Support can be helping with benefits, guidance about treatments and reassurance for those who are worried.
A big thank you to all our employees who baked and donated. We managed to raise over £200.
