Atmos International Limited (Atmos), the leading provider of pipeline technology to the oil, gas, water and associated industries, is pleased to announce that they have joined the Strategic Partnerships Program of the International Air Transport Association (IATA).
IATA is the trade association for the world’s airlines, representing some 240 airlines or 84% of total air traffic. Headquartered in Montreal, Canada, IATA’s mission is to “represent, lead and serve the airline industry”. Among IATA’s key initiatives is the Six Point Safety Program, a comprehensive approach to enhancing operational safety including Engineering and Maintenance.
For an established engineering company such as Atmos, the objectives of IATA are much aligned to their own; to bring “safety, reliability and productivity” to the running of airports. Atmos is to work closely with the Technical Fuel Group.
There are many consequences involved with leaks, including fuel contamination, financial losses and the grounding of planes. A good leak detection system can be invaluable in reducing these problems. Atmos Tightness Monitoring, the hydrant tightness monitoring system that identifies leaks within airport fuelling systems, stands alone amongst other systems due to its unique leak location feature.
Dr. Jun Zhang, Managing Director, Atmos commented, “We are proud to be associated with such an influential organization in the aviation industry. It ensures that we are constantly abreast of the needs of the industry and continue to develop our solutions in line with the market needs”.
