A gas pipeline ruptured during a pressure test in southeaster Iran earlier this week, killing two workers. The pipeline, which runs between Bazman and Zahedan in the Sistam and Baluchestan provinces, did not contain any gas at the time as it was undergoing a cleaning process with air and water.
A spokesperson from the National Iranian Gas Company stated that the incident was not an explosion, as there was no gas in the pipeline.
