GPA is an engineering, procurement, and construction management (EPCM) consultancy based in Australia. They develop, engineer and implement industrial-scale projects across the oil & gas, defense, water treatment & distribution, mining & minerals, renewable energy, power generation and distribution sectors.
Since being commissioned painted lining protection within a balance tank at a high lift pump station for a raw water pumping system had deteriorated. The repair of the protective coating required that the balance tank be isolated for a period of approximately four weeks with no alternative balance tank available. However, the raw water supply was critical to a major Australian city and so a directly coupled repair was being investigated.
