Running to help fund circulatory and heart disease research

Last weekend 15 Atmos International (Atmos) colleagues from the Manchester office ran the annual AJ Bell Great Manchester Run, competing in the 10k and half marathon events to raise money for the British Heart Foundation.

Over 30,000 people were registered to take part in this year’s routes which saw participants run through Manchester City Centre and Salford.

Project Engineer and organizer of Atmos’ Great Manchester Run Oliver Port said: “It’s been another fantastic turnout from Atmos’ runners at this year’s Great Manchester Run. It’s great to see so many colleagues supporting such a worthy cause.”

Atmos’ runners have already made significant progress towards their £500 target for British Heart Foundation and there’s still time to donate. Every donation funds lifesaving medical research that could beat circulatory and heart diseases.

About the British Heart Foundation

The British Heart Foundation’s vision is a world free from the fear of heart and circulatory diseases. They raise money to research cures and treatments, so people can have more time with the ones they love.

From heart diseases and strokes to vascular dementia and diabetes, they’re all connected. The British Heart Foundation funds around £100 million of research each year into all heart and circulatory diseases and the things that cause them.

Since 1961, the British Heart Foundation has funded breakthroughs including heart transplants, pacemakers, portable defibrillators and valve replacements. Every donation will fund further lifesaving research.
