An efficient and cost effective multi-product pipeline
Atmos Batch ensures that pipeline operators know the head and tail location of every batch in a pipeline with products of different characteristics such as density, viscosity and other properties. It’s especially effective for long pipelines with large elevation changes and prominent vapor pockets (or slack), and draining and filling operations.
In real-time Atmos Batch:
- Tracks a batch size and movement from the injecting station to a partial or full delivery. It also takes into account side stream injection along its route growing the size of the batch if they have the same product and batch identifier or create a ‘mixed’ batch if these differ
- Provides calculations of the batch ‘head’ and ‘tail’ positions reported in distance and volume units from main inlet at frequent intervals
- Calculates the distance from main injection and to all subsequent stations or points-of-interest
- Provides the volume from main injection and to all subsequent stations or points-of-interest
- Provides an estimated time of arrival to all subsequent stations or points-of-interest along the route
- Tracks drain and fill volumes
- Tracks anomalies or contaminated batches
- And tracks vapor pocket volume in regions where slack occurs
